Ordering from The Warren

I am no technological whiz, and this is a thing that can probably be said for many writers; I deal in words and paper and the complexities of the English language, not computer-speak. That being said, this shop is a little different than some you'd be likely to find elsewhere.

Products:
Each product in The Warren is handmade by me, and often the items will be one-of-a-kind, meaning that I have only one in stock, and once it is bought, there are no more of that particular item. But let's say you adore the Scarlet Pimpernel necklace. Let's say you're dying for one of your own, but it has already been bought; email me at heirloomrosebud(at)gmail(dot)com and I'll see what I can create for you that is similar to the original. Otherwise, browse the page and choose anything you see that does not have a red "SOLD" caption beneath. I hope you find something you like. To make browsing easier, you can look at the blog sidebar and see the "archives" where you'll find the other items in the shop; each item has its own post to keep confusion at a minimum. (Aren't I so kind?)

Ordering & Payment:
I use mainly recycled and re-purposed materials in my jewelry and other items. The prices you see were carefully considered before being posted, and reflect the amount of time that went into each piece. For instance, the Journalism Bracelet is made of hand-rolled paper beads, and took hours of work just to assemble the materials before even making the bracelet itself. That being covered, I work on as cheap of a price as I feasibly can. (i.e. I am probably not even making minimum wage on some of these items) But I do it because I am a writer, and even writers sometimes need a different sort of creative outlet.
How can you pay? As the shop grows, I may expand into an etsy.com shop, and/or add a way to pay by credit card. For now, though, I am working off of a pay by check, cash, or money-order basis. I apologize for the inconvenience, but this is what works best for me at this moment. Besides--it gives one the impression that not everything is computerized, which is actually comforting. A $3.00 shipping/handling fee will be added to your order for 1 item, and $0.50 more for each additional item. (fault the Post Office for this one.) Exceptions to price may be made for extraordinarily heavy (or light) items.
Orders may be sent to heirloomrosebud(at)gmail(dot)com with a link to the item you would like to purchase. From there I'll give you the details of payment and get your address and things of that nature.
